Rowlett, Texas – May 11, 2023 – Premier equestrian center Laurel Ridge Stables is gearing up for another magical summer of horse riding camps for children ages 7-14 years old of all experience levels as well as a Tiny Tot unicorn camp for children ages 4-6 years old. Specializing in English saddleseat riding, Laurel Ridge offers an idyllic setting and beloved, child-safe lesson horses for kids to live out their equestrian dreams.
Tiny Tots Camp: Did you know that Laurel Ridge Stables has its very own unicorn? Unfortunately, three mischievous mules have stolen her magic, and the unicorn needs the help of the tiniest and mightiest equestrians to get it back! But what is a noble knight or a brave, fair lady without their very own trusty steed? During the week, campers will help care for and ride a few very special horses, engaging in age-appropriate, horse-related activities, and learning ground skills necessary to find and unlock treasure boxes where the mules have hidden the unicorn magic. At pick-up on Friday, if campers have completed their quest, the Laurel Ridge Stables unicorn will be restored to her rightful, magical splendor, sporting her unicorn horn for pictures and a riding demonstration! $350/week | Monday-Friday 9 am - 12 pm | June 19-23 and July 24-28
Summer Camp: The day camps for ages 7-14 run Monday-Friday from 9 am - 3 pm. Campers will enjoy private riding lessons, group riding lessons, and a horse show performance for parents on Friday at pick-up. At Laurel Ridge, we know that an accomplished horseman (and horsewoman!) has “horse sense,” extending far beyond time in the saddle. Watch as your child’s knowledge and confidence grows throughout the week as they learn or improve many skills, including horse safety, care, grooming, feeding, and so much more! Our camp certificate system gives kids the opportunity to “level up” their equine abilities and learn a new skill set each week they attend, making camp great for any skill level!
$550/week | Monday-Friday 9 am - 3 pm | June 5-9, June 12-16, June 26-30, July 17-21
