The North East Dallas County Kiwanis Club was proud to rally our friends in the Rowlett Lions Club and Rowlett Rotary Club in a collaborative effort to collect 500 jars of peanut butter for the Reindeer Project to help feed children in the Garland ISD during the holiday break.

The Reindeer Project is a 20 year old community effort, started by First Christian Church, to help children in need with Christmas gifts and has grown each year. Names are submitted by GISD Counselors from all 70+ campuses to make sure that no child goes without. This year, they're serving 561 families and almost 1,700 kids. In addition to providing gifts, they help provide food for these families who rely on school breakfast and lunch programs that are unavailable during the holiday break.

We are so proud of our members, our friends, and our community that rallied together to collect 588 jars of peanut butter. We also want to thank our many local business partners who served as drop-off locations throughout Rowlett, Garland, and Sachse. It's amazing what can happen when people and organizations come together to bless others.
