The Lake Pointe Wound Care Center (LPWCC), an extension of Lake Pointe Health Network (LPHN), recently received the Center of Distinction Award by Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. LPWCC achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 91 percent within 30 median days to heal. There were 512 Centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award, but only 221 achieved the honor.

“We are pleased to receive the Center of Distinction Award as every member of our team at the Lake Pointe Wound Care Center seeks to fill the needs of our patients with the greatest care and provide peace of mind,” says Dr. Rebecca Jankowski, medical director at LPWCC. “We’re committed to excellence and provide top-of-the-line health care to all our patients.

LPWCC is a member of the Healogics network of nearly 800 Centers, and provides access to benchmarking data and proven experience treating approximately 2.5 million chronic wounds. LPWCCoffers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Advanced treatments include negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, biological and biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.

“We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality health care to those in need,” said Brett Lee, chief executive officer of LPHN. “This award is a direct result of the immense expertise and care our staff delivers to patients and we look forward to continuing to provide our community with the excellent care they have come to expect from Lake Pointe Health Network.”
