DALLAS, Dec. 15, 2016 – Developer Huffines Communities was joined by the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce and city officials to celebrate the grand opening of Harmony’s Luxury Apartments Phase I on Dec. 6. With strong demand for Harmony’s high quality lifestyle and rapid lease up, the developer has also broken ground on the community’s Phase II. Harmony is located at 11010 Harmony Hill Lane in Rowlett, Texas at the intersection of Merritt Road and the President George Bush Turnpike.


The city of Rowlett’s participation in the planning and construction of the George Bush Freeway has opened this area of Rowlett up for continued growth and development. The opening of the new State Farm facility, along with all of the medical and service companies moving to the area, has created a strong demand for new urban designed apartments. Harmony is one of Rowlett’s first urban-inspired, multifamily communities that offer a variety of luxurious amenities and designer finishes along with green space, jogging and bike trails, a disc golf course as well as its own private dog park.


The first building welcomed initial residents in September 2016 and by mid-November, only 64 of a total 326 units in Phase I remained available to lease. Two additional Phase I buildings will be ready for December 2016 move in and the final building will be delivered in March 2017. The community’s 7,000 square-foot clubhouse and pool are also completed for residents’ enjoyment.

Encouraged by the strong demand, Huffines Communities broke ground on Harmony’s 318-unit Phase II ahead of original plans. Grading and site preparation began in early November with vertical construction targeted for late spring 2017.


Harmony’s Phase I offers one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment homes in multiple floor plans ranging from 560 – 1,263 square feet. Phase II will also include a limited number of three-bedroom apartments.


These luxurious residences support today’s tech integrated lifestyles with USB ports inside each unit and Wi-Fi in all common areas. Notable, contemporary design is featured throughout and includes 10-foot high ceilings, 8-foot front doors, extensive sound attenuation, over-sized windows, granite countertops and chic, clean interior design finishes. Parking options available to residents include covered, garage and open spaces while each building offers an additional layer of resident security with controlled access.


JHP Architecture / Urban Design designed the buildings and Moore Design Group developed the interior design for the community.
